Sally Wood will be happy to advise you on recommendations for travel to different regions. Please allow plenty of time before your departure as you may need a course of vaccinations and they are not immediately effective. Where we are not funded by the NHS for travel vaccinations, charges will be made and again details are displayed in the waiting room.
We are covered by the NHS for the vast majority of our services but our patients and various bodies representing them ask us to undertake certain non NHS work such as claim forms, insurance reports, letters, certificates, etc. We endeavour to meet their demands but charge fees for such work since it places an additional workload on our clinicians and staff. We display a poster in the waiting room outlining our charges. NHS clinical work has to take priority so it is not always possible to respond quickly.
We now accept, Visa, Vpay, Mastercard and Maestro.
We are happy to see those who are not eligible for NHS care as a private patients.
Illnesses lasting 7 days or less do not require a doctor's certificate. You can complete a self certification form (SC2) which should be available from your employer or you can download one from the HMRC website.
If your employer or insurance scheme require a doctor's certificate to cover the first week of illness, we can issue a private certificate, for which there will be a charge.
If you require a sick note for an illness which lasts more than a week a "Statement of Fitness for Work" can be issued by your doctor free of charge.
